Online Polls

As we are aware, the use of audience feedback is an essential factor which needs to be carried out. As the target group which I am specifically targeting are a mass audience of both, male and female aged sixteen years and above. This specific audience targeted is from middle class, living in England and should have a specific thrill for horror films, and therefore social networking websites such as ‘Facebook’, is an effective way of collaborating feedback relevant to my final product. The process of audience feedback allows my overall product to embrace the correct conventional look which attracts and appeals the target audience. If there are any crucial criticisms, then the overall product can be developed and altered. Images of my first draft product had been uploaded onto Facebook. The images below are snapshots of this particular process. Results which I had received were interesting, consisting of a range of positive and negative feedback. Therefore, changes to my overall product of a film poster and website have been incorporated, due to this feedback.

Analysis of Online Polls

Through this particular process, a variety of constructive criticisms were encountered. Many by word of mouth, and others through this particular website. Significant changes which had been incorporated within my product were:

Poster

  • Exchanging locations of  both tag lines: ‘Enter at your own risk’ and ‘From the director of the Exorcist’
  • Create a more scary look to the image of the house, by alliterating the colour image to a black and white image.

Website
